What am I going to get out of this experience?
We think that as a designer, you’ll get a lot out of our workshops.
It’s not just the actual design process, works and projects we’ll be working on, that will leave you with lasting memories. We believe it’s a perfect combination of getting away from the work/school stress in the design world. It’s about enjoying the day as much as the night. It’s about eating great food, taking time away from work and chat with another designer or architect about some random idea. It’s about sipping your latté or tea, and let your mind flow. All we want to do is give without taking. It should be an experience that simply leaves you inspired and lingers for a long time, while making new connections in your designer network in a very cosy and inspiring environment.
At the end of the workshop, we'll throw a small exhibition and you'll get a certificate of participation with a nice framed group photograph to remember an inspiring summer.

I’m vegetarian. I have food allergies. What to do?
Don't worry if you’re vegetarian, there’ll be plenty of dishes to suit you. If you have any food allergies, please bring your medication and emergency task and contact information.
In both cases, please let us know in advance, and we’ll accommodate you. We try to use organic produce and ingredients as much as possible.
Do I have to bring my own laptop?
Yes, please, if you think you’ll need it. The workshops don't necessarily require the use of a laptop, although it's a handy tool. In case you don’t have one, you’re welcome to use one of ours for simple tasks like checking email and browsing the web.
Just from experience, back-up your files before your travel.
What does it cost?
We all contribute to our daily expenses, and everyone has a responsibility towards your design community in this workshop. Think of it like moving into a new collective and sharing everything together. This is a non-profit design collaboration workshop.
Can I cook, too?
Actually, yes. We’ll all be cooking together now and then, since it’s not a restaurant, but a large home kitchen. So everyone can cook for everyone. We’re a community, like a big family, really and always interested in sharing culinary knowledge from all over the world.
If you can’t cook, you’re very welcome to watch and learn.
Where am I going to sleep?
We have a certain amount of rooms with limited beds. In order to make work space efficient, most rooms will be 3-bed dorm rooms. But then again, we’re all creative people, and if you find an empty spot you think would be awesome to sleep in, feel free to do so. You can even bring your tent, if you’d like to spend a few nights in the garden, or sleep in the hammock garden.
Anything else I should bring, like paper, pens, etc?
We’ll provide you with basic paper, pens, Post-it, tools, some power tools and all the basic equipment you’ll need to work on projects. Bring whatever you need, or email us if you have any questions.
I need more answers!

We've all been to those workshops, and it's always the same:
Meet early, weak coffee, fall asleep to a Powerpoint, work all day, workshop's over and you either end up in your boring hotel room or in the closest bar.
And you realize that the best ideas come to life after the workshop or in this relaxed environment of the bar. Because your mind actually has time to think.

This is why we created the o2 Design Workshops. We simply wanted to create an environment that actually inspires as you go, gives you all the time to think, and have the evenings, dinners and parties with the people you enjoy working with.
